Actually, I do want to keep discussions about that other list off this one.
We've moved on, and shouldn't bother looking back.

Skymap Pro can be downloaded from http://www.skymap.com  It's a demo version
that doesn't have all the catalogs of the full version, I believe.  The
website has more info on purchasing the full version.

Looks like I'll have to travel to see a total eclipse!  Somethimes this
hobby is nothing but frustration.
