Re: (SNES) RWE - Nature

Hi Dave,

You make some interesting comparisons of sky conditions at Miles Standish
vis-a-vis FDO. I live in Raynham, MA (fairly close to Miles Standish) but,
interestingly enough, I've been down there only once to observe. Most of my
observing is done down at FDO. Why do I make the 1 1/2 hour drive to FDO
when Miles Standish is less than 1/2 hour away. Sure, FDO has some of the
darkest southern skies in Southern New England. But more importantly to me,
it's the people at Frosty Drew that make the long trip worth while. People
like Les, Doug, Joe, Art, Barry, and others have taught me more in a few
weekends than I have otherwise learned over the course of a few years. And
the funny thing about it is that it's so much fun, I don't even realize that
I'm being educated. Now where were these guys when I was going to college
and graduate school?....

Clear skies,
Steve Brandt
