Hi Dave,

Yep, we do this all the time with Mars, the other planets and the moon. FDO
has the full palette of filters available. Colors, polarizing, nebular,
hydrogen beta, oxygen III, etc.

The effects can be quite dramatic. On Mars we tend to find that light blue
and yellow filters work best, bringing out different types of detail. The gas
giants generally benefit from yellow or violet filters. DSO's are pretty much
trial and error; often times a filter that you'd think would not work well
does a great job. These past two weeks M17 and M8 have been spectacular with
the oxygen III filter!
