Hi Dave,
Here's the "skinny":
Doug S.: Now age 51. Started observing with a 3" Newtonian at age 7 (late
1950's, Sputnik, etc., etc.). Hasn't been far from one scope or another since
that first night.
Les C.: No clue as to his age (definitely a kid at heart), but he started
observing regularly in 1949, and is still going strong 52+ years later!
My gosh, I just looked outside - not a cloud to be seen, but the limiting
naked eye magnitude must be about 3.0 - Albireo has vanished!
