Hi Lew,

Good to hear from you! The weather looks reasonably promising this weekend,
so Frosty Drew Observatory will likely be in full swing again. Last weekend
we welcomed well over 200 visitors, and about a dozen owners' scopes, on our
two public nights (we are now open both Friday AND Saturday nights through
September, weather permitting.) With the moon clearing out around midnight,
there may be some fine meteor observing possible under FDO's dark skies.
We'll be there, in any event, as long as the weather holds. Last Friday night
/ Sat. morning we left the park at 5 AM! And at 2:30 AM the next night (some
pesky clouds did us in).

So I don't know how many of us could get away, but if you and some meteor
friends wanted to come down to FDO either night, I'm sure we could easily
accommodate your viewing plans. We never did make the spring observing we'd
discussed, thanks to the awful weather. Maybe this weekend will work out for
all concerned. Just email us to let us know about your plans.

Hope to meet you soon,
:o)
Doug Stewart
