Re: (SNES) Observing near ponds & lakes
Hi Dave,
Does FDO have outdoor AC outlets? That would help greatly with my Laptop when
I am using it with Roboscope and will save needed amps on my battery with all
my other accessories plugged in.
Yes, indeed. Each "pad" has a pair of outlets. If you are running next
to the pad you'll have no problem. If you want to set up in the
"cul-de-sac" parking area favored by many people with large scopes,
I strong recommend bringing a good extension cord. A 100' will make it
easy to snake the cord wherever you want it, but 50' or even 25' will
work. By the way, DO NOT try to tap into the fence lights or the fence
sockets - they are on a rheostat which will cause havoc with electronics.
A word of warning, we need to replace the outside plugs with some new
waterproofing. We just haven't gotten around to it yet. Currently the
outside plugs "trip" a circuit breaker and are sometimes out of
commission for a couple of days after a heavy rain storm.
