Dave, I may have missed understood what you were saying also. I realized
that at the time of my writing my response to you.  (that's why I didn't
call you any nasty names at the time. LOL)

I do like pointed humor and at times I don't mind poking a jab a people
if I feel they deserve it. ( You deserved it LOL ). But the idea here is
that we are all adults and have certain social skills that we have
learned to use over the past 50 years, nobody should ever walk away from
friends with their "tail between their legs" on a newsgroup like this
one. 

Misunderstanding will always happen in forums like this. But, "Big Boys"
like us should be able to work it out in an adult way so that
friendships don't suffer.  If we have trouble understanding each other
all it means is that we have to work harder to be able to communicate
better.  I don't see a problem with that challenge. ( at least that's
what my wife says)

A good  "Rule of thumb" for us all would be, don't make enemies of the
people we stand in the dark with.
