Hey, the thought has occurred! I well remember the night back in November, 
1966 when the big northeast blackout hit. And I was really getting into 
astronomy in a big way at around that time!

Then there was Hurricane Gloria in RI that left the whole of Warwick RI and 
surrounding cities without lights for four nights - wonderful! Of course, we 
lost everything in the freezer,  :o(
