(SNES) Sky Theater

Hi everyone,

Wow! I haven't had a flood of email like this since my old coon dog
swallered his collar.

I have a couple of questions to pose, simply because I've been an outsider
to your group up till recently, and haven't had the opportunity to visit
your facility yet: What is the sky theater? Where is the sky theater What
will the sky theater do when it is finished and open? Who does it belong
to? Who will staff it? Etc..

Thanks in advance for the info.

These last few nights have really been a blast! A real drag though that the
Great God of Reflected Light has made them all too short. Even so, I have
had my binoculars out every evening this week since Saturday, when Luna was
full. I set my tripod in the lee of a stand of birch trees on the eastern
edge of my yard, and their shelter has given me solid sessions as late as
midnight.

By the way, Doug, I can't say how much I envy your all too brief three hours
of lightless heavenly bliss! At best, my skies here in the suburbs of
Springfield, MA make it to mag 5 at the zenith only. Typically, I can't see
anything dimmer than 3rd mag from NW through NE, and 4.5 from east through
south to the west. As it turns out, a couple of my most useful accessories
are the Lumicon UHC filter and the Olll filter. They have become a routine
part of observing from my yard.

Best to all, and may the dark skies continue until the next full moon!

Les
