Re: (SNES) Harry Siebert Eyepieces

Thank you Les and Doug, both of you guys sure are a big help. The
Siebert eyepieces are very tempting at the prices they are being
offered. I read the review that you sent Doug and it is so good in the
favour of Siebert I wondering if Don Regan was getting paid for his
review.

As for the max. magnification issue, I still have a lot to think about.
Using a dob without any sort of tracking other than a push every few
seconds does have some problems when viewing at high power, namely
objects seem to like to fly out of the FOV at an alarming rate of speed.
When I use my 9mm ep, 133X (that is when I can use it) it can be very
interesting keeping up with things because of the lack of good eye
relief. I am wonder if the 7mm, 171X, wide angle would help in this
matter? Would I be better of with a 10mm instead? I would losoe a little
power but maybe it would be more user friendly.

Stars in your eyes,
Barry
