Steve,

Sure, just remember we can only accurately map the part of the MIlky Way 
which is reasonably close to Sol. In any case, it is exciting.
I have also played games with using Alnilam (Orion's Belt) and Toliman
(Alpha Centauri 1) as the central star. Fascinating but befuddling since
I really have no idea what Orion looks like from inside Orion. A-Cen is 
close enough to Sol to at least have similar looking Constellations.
