(SNES) [More] For Potential Leonid Watchers in New England...

David (or Nike?) Speltz asks:
>Okay... When do we get up?

Hi, David, good to hear from you! When should you get up for the Leonids?

My advice: plan on sleeping Saturday all day. Then observe both Friday AND
Saturday night (16/17 & 17/18 Nov), 11pm right through to BRIGHT TWILIGHT!

(Some people are even planning on watching the sky during the DAY Sunday,
around the time of the "second" or "major" storm peak at 12-2pm Eastern.
I wouldn't bother with that, unless I had plenty of nap time in between.)

Of course, if sleeping all day is infeasible, then I recommend: Just watch
on Saturday morning the hour before dawn. Then Saturday *NIGHT*, nap until
the radiant is almost up - say until after 10pm. Then go lie out until the
stars disappear completely in the morning... Otherwise, you *MIGHT* snooze
through one of the most exciting 30 to 60 minute periods of the Century?

Of course, there's also the chance that you'll get a good night's sleep,
while everyone else is watching a "so-so show"! But folks who go out for
an hour on Saturday evening, then get sleepy and decide the Leonids have
"fizzled out again", have certainly not done their homework. ;>

Clear skies, and good luck.
Lew
