(SNES) New Clear Sky Clock for Frosty Drew Observatory

Hi Everyone,

I am pleased to announce that a "Clear Sky Clock" is now being published
continuously for Frosty Drew Observatory. This is a service provided in
conjunction with the Canadian Meteorological Center, and other editions of it
have proved to be very accurate in recent months for predicting sky
conditions for astronomical observing.

You can access the new site at:

http://cleardarksky.com/c/FrostyOBRIkey.html

You will find that the clock provides forecasts out to 48 hours, in 3 hour
increments, for expected cloud cover over FDO as well as for atmospheric
transparency. Clicking on any time segment will open a detailed map that
indicates predicted cloud cover. A legend and explanatory notes are included.
By next summer the resolution of the photos will be enhanced, and the
forecasts will come in one hour increments rather than just three. To date
the Clear Sky Clock has been the best forecasting tool we've come across, and
it is geared specifically to the needs of astronomers.

Enjoy!
Doug Stewart
