Re: (SNES) Moon/Saturn Occulation
Les, Thanks for the info, I was just reading the December Sky and Tele,
they give the date for the next occulation as Friday Dec, 28th with no
time of the event. I have no reason to doubt either you or S&T dates,
but would like to know which is correct.
Thank you,
Barry

Hi All,
Barry was asking if we would ever see a Saturn/Moon Occulation again.
Actually yes, on Dec 29th and again on Feb 21. Then we go into a long
drought with Saturn.
We'll have a shot at Jupiter Feb 23rd. Venus, Mercury and Mars are also
potential obscured objects but none of the occultations will take place
in the next calendar year.
Bright stars are also occulted, but it won't be until 2005 (Antares)
when a really bright star is occulted.
Of course, if you are willing to travel outside the north eastern US,
lots of occultations take place.
Les
