Hi Laurie,

Hey, that's pretty good! We astronomers are always tying to collect the dim
light of celestial objects - how neat it would be if we could provide our own
flash! Of course, the flash would take some time to reach many targets: an
hour and nine minutes to Saturn, years to the nearest stars, and thousands or
millions of years to some of our more distant targets. Would mankind still
inhabit this planet when it came time to actually take the exposure?
Hmmm........

We also are hoping for the promised "mostly clear" skies that the weather
service is talking about for the FDO area tomorrow night. Of course, this is
New England, and it is winter, so just about anything might happen - and
probably will. Last Friday, although we got a couple of decent hours of
observing in, the rosy forecasts were all way off! :o)

Hope to meet you tomorrow night. We'll be open by 6:30 if there's any chance
for observing, and we'll also post any late updates.

Thanks for sharing,
Doug Stewart
