Re: (SNES) Your next total solar eclipse trip?
By 2017 I should be able to afford a wheel chair lift for my Van.

Hi Everyone,
It's odd that I should have mentioned the Hyde Memorial Observatory in
Lincoln, Nebraska yesterday, because today one of my nephews asked me when he
could see a full solar eclipse. I said that I believed there was one coming
up in 15 or 20 years that would be visible from parts of the USA.
Sure enough, on August 21, 2017, a fine total eclipse will pass clear across
the 48 contiguous states, the next one to touch US soil. And right on the
center line is Lincoln, Nebraska! Totality will be visible along about a 90
mile wide path running from Salem, OR to Casper, WY to St. Joseph, MO to
Columbia, SC., and it will last for just under 3 minutes.
So, although it will be a 15 year wait, maybe it's time to start making
plans. Eastern WY, just south of Devils Tower, should have about the best
chances for clear skies, based on weather normals. FDO will see only a 73%
eclipse - so it will be a summer to hit the road!
Now that's looking ahead!
:o)
