Hi Les,

I missed this message earlier, as I had already left for FDO. So when you 
mentioned the moniker "SeaStar Party", it was the first I'd heard of it - and 
I must say it has a pleasant ring! It would certainly embrace the natural 
surroundings of our state, and would be easy for all to remember and identify 
with. VT has Stellafane; RI has SeaStar!

Because of the organizational effort needed to get a major star party off the 
ground, I see this as a necessarily regional event. A starting point might be 
doing a bit of research on the experience of other groups around the country. 
How they got started, what obstacles they came across, etc. I'd be happy to 
look into this. Once we've done some background work we could get feelers out 
to the other clubs to gauge the level of interest. 

Thanks for the name suggestion - I bet it'll stick!
