I had a lot of problems with dew on my ETX even with a dew shield.
Then I got a Kendrick system, and have never had another problem
with dew.

A hair dryer will do when you're dewed up already, but you can heat
the corrector too much and degrade your viewing. If you had the
choice between not seeing anything because of dew and seeing something
even if it's less-than-perfect optically, it's an easy choice, but I
have found that the Kendrick keep the dew away but does not warm the optics
enough to cause any noticable effect on the optics. It often doesn't even
feel warm to the touch.

The only negative thing about it is the cost, but I think it's worth it.
