Re: (SNES) Anyone for 2002 NY40?

We're hoping to watch from Pensacola, but we're on
week two of constant thunderstorms, clouds and rain.
If it doesn't stop soon, I may take up needlepoint. I
dug out an old observing log entry relative to
asteroids, (quote) "Observed asteroid (6) Hebe on 8
March 1997, near 85 Leonis and SAO 99625 and 99626.
Confirmed sighting based on plot from SKYMAP and
magnitude estimate relative to SAO 99625 and 99626."
(end quote). During that evening, the asteroid's
motion was notable with only slight averted
imagination, the following night it had moved
noticeably. 2002NY40 should be impressive, weather
permitting. Photos might be worth a try, but the moon
is a problem.
