Re: (SNES) Perseids Schmerceids

At about 12:15am last night, I walked out the back door and caught a 
glimpse of two pretty bright Perseids.. right at the radiant.  One shot in 
a northerly direction, the other, just two seconds later, shot in an 
easterly direction.  I hung around another 10 minutes and saw a single 
VERY faint puff.  Then nothing else appeared.  While at Stellafane, I saw 
maybe 6 perseids on Saturday night over a 6 hour period or so.  There were 
a couple more than that, as I could hear the ooh's and aah's. I was 
plugged into my eyepiece, so missed those.  Last night seems to have not 
been too impressive.

By the way, there were no clouds, but it was very hazy.  The moisture in 
the air really enhanced the skyglow from Fitchburg to the east, and 
possibly Worcester to the south.  That probably hindered sighting the very 
faint ones.
