(SNES) Rhythm and Roots Lights

Hi All,

Last night was spectacularly dark at FDO - EXCEPT on the northwest side of
the parking lot. Rhythm and Roots as has been common for the last few years,
has left their lights on. Trees block these lights quite well in the
Observatory Yard but not where so many of you set up your scopes. I am
trying to deal with the issue again with the Town of Charlestown and the R&R
people, but tonight will probably be a bright light problem in the parking
lot.

I suggest that two temporary solutions are possible. For big scopes,
continue past the Observatory to the sheltered
turn around at the end of Park Lane. For smaller scopes, set up in the yard
on the south side of the Dome.

Sorry all, but I'm not going to waste what promises to be a good night. I
was done at the Park on business last night and I can only hope tonight will
be as clear. Details of the Milky Way were easy to see and stars to the
fifth and sixth magnitude were everywhere down to the horizon about 9:30 PM
when the meeting broke up.
