I'm glad to hear that you had such a good turnout last night! The Clear Sky
Clock indicated that conditions would be going down hill late in the evening
- and they did - but it sounds like you had a great night. Quite a load,
however, for just you, Steve and Art to handle!
I agree entirely with you assessment of the Virtual Moon Atlas - what a
fantastic program! The only mystery is why it took software developers so
long to come up with something like it. There's so much deep space and solar
system stuff out there that virtually ignores the Moon.
Here in Florida the summer muggies, combined with outflow from tropical storm
Hanna, has ruined ANY chance for weekend observing - so you guys were
actually quite fortunate.
