As you know or may have forgotten I have been running for a seat on the
North Kingstown school committee. The past few months have been very
time consuming. With election day only a few short days away the
campaigning ordeal will be over and with it I will have more time for my
loved hobby of astronomy.
I miss my FDO family and the dark sky of Charlestown. And hope to see
you all soon. I have been going out in the yard gazing at the night fall
sky and it has brought me some nice moments of calm in my time pressured
world. ( I did see that magnificent Fireball while I was campaigning on
October 10th)
Anyhow, I saw Orion for the first time this year a couple of nights ago
and have chased some open clusters with my 10X50's. Not the most
exciting astronomy but just enough to remind me of the wonders above and
make me thankful for being alive.
Stars in your eyes,
Barry
