Re: (SNES) Leonid Report

"Sure am glad I had the opportunity to spend the night for last year's
fabulous display with a small group of friends at a dark sight. That
night is certain to remain one of the highlights of my astronomical
life."

L. G.

Lew I was up at 5:00 and peeked out the bathroom window. What I saw was
a extremely bright sky with thin damp clouds between my window and Leo.
I decided to close the window as it was very cold, flush, and then go
back to bed, but before doing so I opened the bed room window blind and
stacked the pillows on the bed so that I could look out to the easterly
sky. I saw one (1) meteor drop straight down towards Earth in forty
minutes then decided to close my eyes to get the last of a late morning
sleep.

Not that I know much about this stuff but I really didn't think much was
going to happen this year. I too thought/think last years show will be
one of the "highlights of my astronomical life." I also have to
include that fireball that I saw on October 10th as one of the
highlights as well. Also have to include my first look at M13
and........

Stars in your,
