Hi Ed,

I've never had much luck with daytime sightnings of Mars. I have sighted Mercury in the
morning by following it up from dark skies until the Sun had risen. If I looked away for a
moment I usually lost it. I have a hypothesis with nothing to back it up that the reddish
planets are harder to see in the daytime magnitude for magnitude.
