Hi Doug, Les, and all other fellow stargazers,
I have used ngcic.com as a resource for several years now, but like Doug noted,
it is far from complete. After observing a few of the real nice brighter IC open
clusters, e.g. IC 4665, IC 4756, IC 4725 (M25), I wondered how many more of these
delightful beasts I could conjure up. I'm rescanning my Pilot Star Catalogue DSO
list for such prospects.
I will be ordering a 10" LXD55 SN in the near future. Alas, there is a several
month waiting period for shipment AND Meade has already raised the price of this
scope $100 due to the overwhelming demand for it--nice guys.
BTW, does anyone other than myself belong to the IDA (International Dark Sky
Association)? Check out their website at www.darksky.org
See you in the stars,
Ernie
